Let’s make your next step easy.
Find answers about building, downloads and hosting.
Start here
From nothing to a site you own.
Do I need an account?
You can open the builder and try things straight away. Sign in when you want to save your sites, upload your own pictures or 3D models, or search the free asset library.
Should I pick a template or start blank?
Templates are finished, designed pages you edit: swap the words, pictures and colours and keep the layout. A blank canvas is an empty page where you place everything yourself. Both end up as the same kind of site, so you can start from a template and change as much or as little as you like. A template costs what its card in the gallery says, all in, as it comes; a blank canvas starts at £29.
What does it cost?
Blank websites: £29 for one page, £59 for up to five, £99 for up to fifteen; £4 per page beyond fifteen. Current templates £49–£249, all in with their included pages shown. Hosting is optional. Sections, elements, forms, motion and existing 3D tools are included. HTML and repeat downloads are included.
You pay once, by card, and payments are taken by Stripe. Paid but not downloaded yet? Ask within 14 days and we'll refund you in full. After you've downloaded, a change of mind can't be refunded, but faulty code is fixed or replaced, and refunded if that can't be done.
What exactly do I get when I pay?
A download of your site's real files, clean code you own outright. Host it anywhere you like, move it whenever you want, and keep it even if you never come back. Hosting with us is a separate, optional extra.
Using the canvas
Placing, editing and arranging.
How do I add and arrange things?
Add widgets (headings, text, pictures, buttons, forms and more) from the sidebar, then drag them where you want and drag the edges to resize. The board is 1200 design pixels wide and you can zoom in and out to work on details. Undo and redo are always there.
How do I format text?
Double-click a heading or text, then select just the words you want to change. A small toolbar appears for bold, italic, underline, font, colour and size. Each selection can look different within the same text.
How do I add my own pictures?
Select a picture, then choose Upload (or Replace). You can also pick a stock photo from the same panel. Under Layout you can choose whether the picture fills its frame or shows the whole image, and a picture can have a hover effect or a caption.
What happens on a phone or tablet?
Your layout is automatic on small screens. On a phone the items stack one under another in reading order, and on a tablet you can switch on Flow on tablets in the page settings to get the same stacking there. Use the device preview to see exactly what a visitor will see before you pay.
On your own phone the settings open as a panel that slides up from the bottom, so you can edit a site from anywhere.
Is my work saved?
Signed in, the editor saves your site to your account as you work, and the save status in the editor tells you where it is. It says "Saved" once the copy in your account is up to date. Signed out, it says "Not saved — sign in to keep this": your work is kept in that browser tab only, so sign in to keep it. The status is a button: press it to sign in. Closing the tab with work in it also asks you to confirm first (some phones skip that question, so do not rely on it).
If your connection drops, the status says: "You're offline. Your changes are kept in this tab and will save when you're back online."
What does "This site was changed somewhere else" mean?
You opened the same site in another tab or on another device and saved a change there. Nothing is overwritten without asking: you are offered "Keep mine as a new site", which leaves the other version exactly as it was saved, or "Load the other version", which sets what you changed here aside.
Can I go back to how my site was?
Yes. Open Site, then Earlier versions. You see the copies kept for you, newest first, and can go back to any of them. Going back keeps your site as it is now first, so you can return to it. To mark a moment you want to find again, name it and press Save a version (up to 30 named versions per site).
We keep your 20 most recent automatic copies, plus one a day for 14 days. Copies made before going back or before a big change are kept for 30 days. Versions you name stay until you clear them.
A site larger than 2 MB is no longer copied by itself. Pictures kept inside the page make a site that big: upload them instead, or save a named version before a big change. The editor also keeps a copy before it starts over, opens a template or sets up the shop or blog.
Can I add a blog?
Yes. In the Pages panel press Set up a blog: it adds a Blog page (marked as your Blog page), a first post and a Blog link in your menus. Then press + Add a blog post for each new post. A post is a page, but on a site that has a Blog page up to 200 posts are included in the price and do not count as pages, whatever you put on that page. Without a Blog page, every page is paid for.
What are sections and columns?
A section is a frame that holds a group of items together. Turn on its phone stack and its members flow in order on small screens; give it columns and it sits in two columns on a tablet. The sections library has ready-made sections (heroes, product features and more) you can drop in, duplicate or replace, and adding sections is included.
A member at the very bottom of a tall section can be anchored to the bottom so a button or caption stays put at the foot of the screen.
Can I make a heading fill the width of the page?
Yes. Turn on fit to width for a heading and its text scales to span its box exactly, the big poster-style look, and it re-fits itself if the words change later.
3D and motion
Models, scenes and movement.
How do I put a 3D model on my page?
Add the 3D viewer widget, then either choose a model from the built-in library or upload your own. You can set the starting camera, let visitors orbit it, choose the lighting and background, add a poster picture that shows while it loads, and add a description for screen readers. If a model has its own animation you can tick Play the model's animation.
What kind of model file can I upload?
One self-contained .glb file, up to 10 MB. If you have a .gltf with separate .bin and picture files (this is how Poly Haven hands out models), select all of those files together in the upload box and they are packed into a single .glb for you. Models using Draco or Basis compression are not supported, because a downloaded site can't fetch the decoder offline.
What are 3D scenes?
A 3D scene widget is a ready-made animated WebGL scene, such as a floating planet or a tool demonstration, that reacts to the visitor. They are used by several templates and you can place one on any page.
What kinds of motion can I add?
Items can arrive with an entrance animation, move as you scroll, or loop gently. Text can reveal word by word, line by line or letter by letter, numbers can count up, pictures can have hover and tilt effects, and a product model can rotate. Photos can also cycle in a slow crossfade.
Everything respects a visitor's reduced-motion setting: if they ask their device for less movement, the page stays still and shows the finished state.
Does motion cost extra?
No. Motion, picture effects, page extras and existing 3D tools are included, with no per-widget or animation-pack build charge.
Free assets
Models, textures and skies you can use.
Where do I find free 3D models and textures?
Open Assets from the footer and search the Poly Haven library of models, textures and skies. Everything there is CC0 (public domain), free for any use including commercial work, with no credit needed. Searching and downloading are free for signed-in members.
How do I get a downloaded asset onto the canvas?
Pictures and textures (PNG, JPEG, WebP): add a picture widget and upload the file.
3D models: add a 3D viewer and upload the .glb, or select the .gltf together with its .bin and picture files and we pack them for you. Blender (.blend), FBX and USD files can't be used directly, so choose the glTF download.
Skies (HDRI files) are for 3D software and can't be used on the canvas.
Downloading your site
What the zip holds and how to use it.
What formats can I download?
HTML is included. React and Vue source components are separate £10 purchases per site. Selecting a format does not buy it; returning to an already purchased format is free. Components need a compatible project. Your pictures, fonts and any 3D models are bundled into the download so the site works on its own.
How do I put the downloaded site online?
Upload the files to any web host. Two things to know: 3D models and scenes need the site to be served from a web address (a host, or a local web server), not opened by double-clicking the file, because browsers block the model from loading that way; the picture poster shows instead. A short README inside the zip explains how to run it.
Hosting with us
A live address, kept up to date.
What does hosting give me?
Your site goes live on an address on innitsites.com, with a free security certificate, and it updates automatically every time you save. You can still download and self-host at any time: hosting is on top of that, not instead of it.
What are the plans?
Launch: £9 a month or £91.80 a year, with 10 GB for your pictures and files, 25 site updates a day and up to 5,000 files
Grow: £15 a month or £153 a year, with 50 GB for your pictures and files, 150 site updates a day and up to 25,000 files
Pro: £25 a month or £255 a year, with 100 GB for your pictures and files, 400 site updates a day and up to 50,000 files
Paying yearly is 15% cheaper than twelve months. The plans differ in the room for everything you upload (your pictures, shop photos and downloadable files all count), in how many times a day your live site can be updated (every save in the editor updates it), and in how many files a site can hold. The editing page is the same on every plan.
Hosting renews by itself, every month or every year as you chose, until you cancel. Cancelling stops the next payment; after your first 14 days a yearly plan is not refunded for the months left (see Refunds).
Can I sell things from a hosted site?
Yes. A shop is an add-on for a site hosted with us, with its own price, billed monthly or yearly like your hosting. Shoppers pay on Stripe's own page and the money goes to your Stripe account; innitweb adds no fee to your sales. The sizes, prices and what each holds are on the pricing page.
Can I use my own domain?
Not yet. Every hosted site gets an address on innitsites.com, and that works today. Connecting a web address you own is coming. It is not switched on yet. There is nothing to set up.
Can I change plan?
Yes, from your Account page. Moving up charges the difference for the rest of the period straight away and gives you the extra room at once. Moving down on a monthly plan takes effect now and the unused difference comes off your next bill, as long as the pictures and files you have stored still fit the smaller plan.
A yearly plan can move up any time, but moves down when it renews, because yearly plans aren't refunded for unused months.
I went back to an earlier version. Does my live site change?
Going back in the editor (Site, then Earlier versions) changes your design, and a live site updates to it within a minute or so.
If something looks wrong on a live site, press Go back to the last version on your Account page, under the live site, instead. It puts the live site back on the version before your latest update and leaves your design in the editor as it is. The live site then stays on that earlier version until you press Publish in the editor, so a later save cannot put the newer design back by itself.
What if I cancel?
Your site stays online for a short grace period (seven days), then goes offline. Hosting cancellation does not revoke your purchased download rights. Keep a local copy of your files. After your first 14 days a yearly plan is not refunded for the unused months (see Refunds).
Selling online
Your shop: what it is, what it costs, setting it up and fixing the usual problems.
What can I sell, and how do I get paid?
A shop is an add-on for a site hosted with us. You can sell products that come in sizes or options, each with its own price and stock, and digital downloads such as a PDF, a zip or music. The shop runs on a live, paid-up hosting plan.
Shoppers pay on Stripe's own page and the money goes to the Stripe account you connect, not through innitweb.
Your Account page shows whether you can add a shop to a site yourself or whether to ask us to switch one on: if it shows Get in touch, ask there.
What does a shop cost?
A shop has its own monthly price, on top of hosting: Starter £12 a month, Shop £29 a month, Scale £199 a month (by invitation only). A site that does not sell never pays for one.
Each size needs a hosting plan big enough to carry it. Together, with the smallest plan that can: Starter with Launch hosting is £21 a month, Shop with Grow hosting is £44 a month, Scale with Pro hosting is £224 a month.
Paying yearly is 15% cheaper than twelve months, for the shop as for hosting. The shop renews on the same day as your hosting and ends if hosting ends.
Product photos and downloadable files share your hosting plan's room for pictures and files. Your orders and customers do not count towards it.
innitweb adds no fee to your sales. Stripe sets its fees and can change them. Their current prices: stripe.com/gb/pricing (linked on 1 November 2026).
How do I set my shop up?
Seven steps, in the order most shops take them. The Shop guide link on your Account page (under your shop) opens the Get started screen, which shows the same steps and ticks them off as you go.
1. Get paid. On your Account page, under Hosting, press Set up payments with Stripe and finish Stripe's questions (the button says Continue with Stripe if you stop part way). Shoppers pay on Stripe's own page and the money goes to your Stripe account. innitweb adds no fee to your sales; Stripe's own fees come out of each payment in your Stripe account. When do I get paid? Stripe usually pays out to your bank on a regular schedule, and a new Stripe account often waits about a week for its first payout. Open Payouts in your Stripe dashboard to see what is coming and when.
2. Set up delivery. On Shipping and tax, add a zone (a group of countries) with delivery options: one price, by weight, by order value, or collection. An option can be free above an order value you choose. You book the courier yourself, then press Mark shipped on the order. A product whose Type is Download is never delivered: a basket of only downloads has no delivery price and is not asked for an address. Until you save, a new shop delivers to the UK only, for free.
3. Choose how tax shows. Also on Shipping and tax: Do not show tax, My prices already include VAT (you type the rate; delivery is then UK only), or Let Stripe work out tax, which needs Stripe Tax set up in your Stripe account and carries a Stripe fee. This is not tax advice: ask your accountant.
4. Add products. On Products, press Add product for a title, price and stock. It starts as a draft, and only Published products can be bought. Press Details on a product to write its description, add pictures from your computer or phone, and set its sizes, with a price, stock and weight for each. (To change many products at once, press Export CSV, edit the file, then press Import CSV; picture addresses in a file must start with https://.) For a download, set its Type to Download, then press Digital file on the product to attach the file (a download with no file shows as a thing to do on Publish).
5. Put the shop on your pages. In the editor, open Add, then Shop, and press Set up my shop: it adds a Shop page, a Product page and a Shop link in your menu. Then add a Product card or a Buy button anywhere and choose which product it shows, or a Product grid for a page of products. A basket button shows on every page by itself once a product is published. To make your own product page instead, add Product page content to a page that is not your first and tick This is my product page on it.
6. Publish. Your site must be live (hosting on) and have a shop element on a page. On Publish, press Publish shop. After you change products, press Publish changes: new products, names and pictures only appear then.
7. Handle orders. Orders are sorted into Needs attention, To pack, Shipped, Refunded and All. On To pack, Download CSV for your courier gives a spreadsheet of the parcels waiting, with their addresses, for your courier's bulk upload (it marks nothing as shipped). Open an order to add tracking and press Mark shipped, or to refund it (Refund everything and restock or Refund part). Receipt, shipping and refund emails are set up on Email. Discounts makes codes and Customers lists your buyers. Sales shows how the shop is doing (orders, what was taken and refunded, your best sellers) and gives your accountant a file, one row for each order, with no customer details.
Shoppers cannot buy from my shop. What do I check?
Check these in order.
1. The site is live and its hosting is paid up. If hosting stops, the shop pauses until it starts again.
2. Payments are connected. Your Account page says when they are. If it says "Payments are connected" but shoppers cannot buy yet, press See the checklist: it names what is left.
3. On Publish, press Publish shop.
4. The product is Published, not a draft. Only Published products can be bought.
I added or changed a product but my site has not changed
New products, names and pictures only appear on your site after you press Publish changes on Publish. Also check the product is Published, not a draft.
My shop is paused
A shop pauses when its site's hosting stops being live, and starts again when hosting does. If a hosting or shop payment did not go through, press Manage billing on your Account page to fix it.
How do I refund an order?
Open the order and press Refund everything and restock to refund all of it, or Refund part to refund some of it. Orders are sorted into Needs attention, To pack, Shipped, Refunded and All.
How do I change my shop's size, or stop selling?
On your Account page, under your shop, Change size shows the other sizes. A bigger shop is charged the difference now; a smaller one is credited to your next bill.
To stop, press Close my shop. The shop keeps working until the end of the time you have paid for, with no refund for the time left, and your products, orders and customers are kept. You can add the shop again, and Keep my shop undoes closing before it ends.
Edit your own words and pictures
Change your site without opening the builder.
How does editing it myself work?
In the builder, select a heading, text or picture and press Editable later on the bar beside it (it is the same as ticking Let the site owner edit this in its settings). To mark all your headings and text at once, open Site, then Editable by you. Once your site is live on hosting, choose a password and press Turn on in that same place, or on your Account page under the live site. You can then log in at your site's address followed by /admin and change those words and pictures from a simple page. Changes show on your live site straight away, no rebuild.
What can I edit that way?
Headings, text blocks and pictures that you marked as editable. Formatting such as bold, italic and colour is kept. Layout and design changes still happen in the builder.
Why won't it let me combine that with a word-by-word reveal?
A reveal or count-up rebuilds the text into pieces, which your edits would wipe out. Turn the effect off, or turn editing off for that item.
Is there a limit?
Pictures and files you upload there count towards your plan's room, the same room as a shop's product photos and downloadable files (Launch 10 GB, Grow 50 GB, Pro 100 GB), with each picture up to 50 MB. Editing text costs nothing and has no limit.
Good to know
Limits and small print, plainly.
What counts towards the price?
The one-off price changes if you need more pages, choose a template or buy a download format you have not purchased. Sections, page length, standard elements, forms, motion and existing 3D tools are included. Domain and external-service costs are separate. Hosting is optional.
Where do I get help?
Email us from the contact link in the footer. For faulty code we fix or replace it, and refund if we can't.
After you pay
Changing your site later, and what if something is wrong.
Can I change the site after paying?
Yes. Ordinary editing and repeat downloads of your purchased site are included. Deleting pages keeps your purchased allowance. Expanding from one to five pages is £30, five to fifteen £40, or one to fifteen £70; pages beyond fifteen are £4 each. Another template licence or export format may cost extra.
What if the code is faulty?
Tell us and we'll fix it or replace it, and if that can't be done you can ask for a refund. Your legal rights are never affected.
