Your code
Made here. Yours to take away.
Download your site as plain files, then put it on any host you like. There is no subscription to keep it.
Your pages, pictures and fonts, with a README that says how to use them.
- index.htmlYour home page
- about.htmlOne file for every page
- assets/Your pictures
- fonts/Fonts, with their licences
- README.txtHow to use it
- robots.txtFor search engines
Three formats
Choose how you take it.
HTML export
Included in the pricePlain pages you can open in a browser. There is nothing to install and no build step. Drag the folder to any static host.
React export
£10 extraEach page is a React component. Drop the files into an existing React project. They need a bundler such as Vite or Next.js.
Vue export
£10 extraEach page is a Vue single-file component. Drop the files into an existing Vue project and use them as you would any component.
HTML is included. React and Vue are separate purchases per site; choosing one does not include the other. Returning to a format you already bought is free.
Inside the zip
What you get when you download.
Pages
One file for every page of your site, ready to open or to build on.
Pictures
Eligible uploads and built-in template pictures are copied into assets/, within the download limits. Pictures left at an external address still need that provider; the README lists anything not bundled.
Fonts
The fonts your site uses, with their licences. They load from your own files, never from another website.
Supporting files
A README, a robots.txt and, once you have set a site address, a sitemap.xml.
3D models, scenes and animations bring a small player script, which sits in the assets folder.
A download is not a subscription
Keep the design. Choose the services.
There is no Innitweb subscription to keep your downloaded files. Your chosen host may charge separately. Hosting with us is optional, from £9/mo per site.
Editing on a live site
The simple page where a site owner edits their own words and pictures belongs to hosting with us. A download is plain files: change them in the files, or open the saved site in the editor and download it again.
Forms
On a site we host, forms use our form service. In a site you download, a form sends nothing until you give it a form address: a web address that accepts posted forms.
Try it first
See what you get.
Download a small real site. It is built by the same exporter as your download, so you can open the files, read the README and see for yourself that nothing is hidden.
Free. No sign-in. It is a sample, not a site of your own.
What is in it
- index.htmlHome, as a web page
- field-notes.htmlField notes, as a web page
- a-useful-shelf.htmlA useful shelf, as a web page
- assets/the pictures you uploaded, and the player files for any 3D model, 3D scene or Lottie animation on a page (only if the site has some)
- fonts/the fonts your site uses, with their licences in fonts/LICENCES.txt
- robots.txttells search engines they may visit the site
- README.txtwhat is in the folder and how to use it
What it depends on
This is the same list your own download gives you (README.txt, and the Download step before you pay).
Nothing. Your pages, pictures and fonts are all in the files, so the site shows without any other website.
A form with no address: A form on your site has no form address yet, so it cannot send anything. Add an address in the form's settings and download again. On innitweb hosting it uses our form service instead.
Keeping your site
If you ever leave, here is what you keep and what stops.
A download is plain files that you own. A few things only work while you use our services: forms that arrive in your inbox, editing your words later, and a shop. This page says which is which, so nothing is a surprise.
What you own
Your site's files
Once you have paid for a download, you can use, change, host and share the pages, pictures and fonts in it. There is no subscription to keep them.
Things made by other people
Pictures, fonts, 3D models and libraries made by other people keep their own licences. Keep the licence files that come in the zip when you pass the files on.
Your words and pictures
What you wrote and uploaded stays yours. We only keep and show it so that the services you use can work.
Your shop's records
If you sell with the innitweb shop, your products, orders and customers are yours. The button on your shop's card on the Account screen saves them as spreadsheets and data files while your hosting is on. Save them before you cancel.
What stops if you leave innitweb
Your downloaded files are plain files that work on any host. These parts belong to our services, so they do not come with the files. Pictures that were too big or too many to fit in the download stay where they were, and videos play from their own website. The Download step lists both.
Hosting
Your site is online at an address on innitsites.com only while hosting is on. If you stop it, that address stops showing your site. Download your files first, and put them on a host you choose.
Forms
On a site we host, a form sends its answers to our form service and they arrive in your form inbox. A download has no form service: a form sends nothing until you give it a form address from a service you choose. Save your messages from the inbox before you leave.
Editing your words later
The simple page where you change your words and pictures on a live site belongs to hosting. A download is plain files: change them in the files, or open the saved site here and download it again.
The shop
A shop is not like a static site and it does not move with the files. A download leaves a shop's elements as empty space. The shop runs on our shop service, with your own Stripe account for the money. Before you leave, save your shop data pack. Your Stripe account stays yours.
How to put your files on another host
- Unzip the download. Open index.html in a browser to check it. There is nothing to install and no build step.
- Upload the whole folder to a static host, such as Cloudflare Pages or Netlify, or to your own web space. Keep the assets and fonts folders next to the pages.
- Point your web address at the host. The host's own help says how.
- Open every page on the new address. If your site has a form, give it a form address first (see below).
React and Vue downloads are source files for a project that already builds. They need a bundler such as Vite or Next.js.
Before you go
- Download your site. The Download step lists what your files depend on, in plain words, before you pay.
- Open the sample zip above if you want to see a real download first.
- Save your form messages, and your shop data pack if you have a shop.
Before you use your files
A short list, to be safe.
- Read the README.txt first. It lists every file and says how to run the site.
- Keep the assets and fonts folders next to your pages when you put the site online.
- If your site has a form, add its form address before you publish.
- If your site has 3D models or scenes, serve it from a web host or a local web server. Opening the file by double-clicking stops the model loading.
- Open it on the host you chose and click through every page before you share it.
You pay once, by card, and payments are taken by Stripe. Paid but not downloaded yet? Ask within 14 days and we'll refund you in full. After you've downloaded, a change of mind can't be refunded, but faulty code is fixed or replaced, and refunded if that can't be done. Read the terms and the refund policy.
